Drug Formulation

140 pieces of tooth soap (roasted over fire), 2 liang of Corydalis (sun-dried, ground), 6 fen of fly-blue indigo, 1 qian of musk.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with water to form pills weighing 2–3 fen each, sun-dry, and store carefully to prevent loss of potency.

Instructions for Use

If the patient’s jaw is clenched shut, immediately administer the medicine through the nostrils; the jaw will open as soon as the medicine is administered. Take 1 pill per dose; for severe cases, take additional small pills, grind them into a paste, and mix with water to take.
