Drug Formulation

1 liang of mercury, 3 qian of cinnabar, 3 qian of realgar, and 3 qian of sulfur.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, place it in a Yangcheng jar, seal it with clay, and tightly seal the opening with an iron cup and a metal ring. Burn three sticks of incense; when the incense has burned out, wipe the inside of the cup with water. The next day, remove the miraculous medicine from the bottom of the cup; there will be approximately 1 liang 5–6 qian.

Instructions for Use

For treating common cases of tissue decay, take 5 qian of the miraculous medicine and 5 qian of mercury oxide; mix evenly and grind to a fine powder. Store in a small jar and seal the opening with gauze. Before use, wash the affected area with licorice decoction. Hang the jar upside down and sift the medicine through the gauze onto the affected area. After application, cover with a single-oil plaster and change it once a day; the treatment will be effective.For men and women with a sore throat, take 1 qian of Lingyao, add 2 fen of Renzhongbai, grind into a fine powder, and blow it onto the affected area three times daily. Take Er Er San internally; the pain will cease immediately, and the patient may resume eating and drinking.
