Drug Formulation

Ginseng 1 liang, Large Aconite Root 1 piece (soaked in licorice water—half a day in summer, one day in winter; then wrapped in a dough made with licorice water and steamed until cooked; remove the skin and pith, slice, and dry), Sichuan Lovage 1 liang, Dodder Seed 8 liang (boiled in wine, pounded into cakes), Broken Paper Bark 4 liang (roasted), Cinnamon Bark 2 liang (peeled),4 liang of Chinese yam (roasted), 4 liang of fennel (roasted), 2 liang of Morinda officinalis (core removed), 2 liang of Cistanche deserticola (oven-dried), 3 liang of Eucommia ulmoides (roasted with ginger juice), and 2 liang of Astragalus membranaceus (roasted with wine; tip removed).
