Formulas Name : Rice Flour Pill

Chinese Name : 米粉丹

Drug Formulation

Croton seed (remove skin and inner membrane; extract oil) 1 qian, powdered gypsum 1 qian, realgar 1 qian, cinnabar 1 qian, arsenic trioxide (ground) half a qian.

From *Pu Ji Fang*, Volume 210, citing *Xu Yi Jian*.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Melt 2 qian of beeswax into a liquid, add the powder, and stir until well blended. Roll into pellets the size of mung beans.

Benefits

For dysentery with malaria-like symptoms and chronic dysentery.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose, washed down with rice water; repeat if not cured.
