Drug Formulation

Half a liang of river fish bladder (chopped, stir-fried), half a liang of wild pigeon droppings (stir-fried), 1 qian of realgar, half a liang of white silkworm pupae, 1 pair of centipedes, and 1 liang of gastrodia.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Divide the powder into two portions. For one portion, shape the mixture into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using baked flatbread as a binder, and coat them with cinnabar; for the other portion, mix in 1 qian of croton seed powder, shape into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using baked flatbread as a binder, and do not coat them with cinnabar.

Instructions for Use

Take 20 cinnabar-coated pills and 1 pill containing croton seed powder per dose; for the second dose, take 2 pills, increasing the amount until a strong diarrhea occurs; then take the cinnabar-coated pills again until the illness is cured.
