Formulas Name : Scab Rub Powder

Chinese Name : 擦疥散

Drug Formulation

1 liang of wild fennel, 5 qian of large wind seed kernels, 1 liang 2 qian of dried alum, 1 liang of Cnidium monnieri seeds, 5 qian of Sichuan pepper, 5 qian of realgar, 5 qian of sulfur, and 16 liang of walnut kernels (pounded separately into a paste).

Processing

There are 8 ingredients in total; grind all except the walnut kernels into a fine powder and sift through a sieve. For every 5 liang and 2 qian of fine powder, mix with 2 liang of camphor and 2 liang of mercury oxide, grind finely, and blend evenly. Use the walnut kernels from the formula—pounded into a paste—to form pills weighing 2 qian each.

Benefits

For rheumatic conditions, scabies, and tinea, accompanied by unrelenting itching.

Instructions for Use

Apply 1 pill to the affected area.
