Secretly Transmitted Wax and Alum Pills

Drug Formulation
Yellow wax and white alum, each one walnut-sized piece (ground); silver vermilion, 1 qian; snake shed, 1 piece (baked on yin-yang tiles, then ground).

Processing
First, melt the beeswax and add a small amount of honey. Then add the raw alum, snake shed, and silver vermilion; grind them into a fine powder and mix thoroughly. Place a copper spoon in boiling water, then quickly form the mixture into pills the size of a paulownia seed.
Instructions for Use
For patients, first have them take a bath and drink several cups of hot wine. Initially, administer 21 pills; have the patient drink as much as possible until intoxicated, then cover them with a blanket to induce sweating. The condition will resolve as soon as it begins. If the pain has already become unbearable, taking this remedy will alleviate it;if the lesion has already ulcerated by half, taking this remedy will cause it to discharge; for thick, yellow pus, adjust the dosage according to the patient’s constitution—take 21 pills on the first day, 19 on the second, and reduce the dose by 2 pills each day until reaching 1 pill.
