Drug Formulation

1 fen of Wood Fragrance, 1 fen of Black Pepper, 10 seeds of Croton (with skin and core removed, ground), 1 dried scorpion.

Processing

Mix the ingredients with hot water and steamed buns to form pills the size of a sesame seed; coat with cinnabar.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 pills per dose. For chest and epigastric pain, take with persimmon peduncle decoction or with lampwick and persimmon peduncle decoction; for abdominal pain, take with persimmon peduncle and roasted ginger decoction; for pain caused by blood stasis, take with stir-fried ginger, vinegar, and urine; for difficulty urinating, take with lampwick decoction; for bloody dysentery and visceral toxicity, take with paper mulberry leaf decoction; for severe lung qi disorders, add 3 fen each of white alum and clam shell powder,1 fen of Huangdan; grind them together into a powder and take with a decoction of mulberry bark and glutinous rice; for mild shortness of breath, take only with a decoction of mulberry bark and glutinous rice; for kidney-qi pain under the ribs, take with aniseed wine; for constipation, take with honey water mixed with 1 qian of areca nut powder; for dysphagia, take with wood fragrant decoction; for undigested food, take with tea, wine, or fruit juice.
