Drug Formulation
1 stem of Sophora japonica, 2 seeds of Croton tiglium, 2 seeds of Euphorbia pekinensis, and 1 qian of Angelica sinensis.

Processing
Place the above ingredients in a pot with 3 liang and a half of good-quality oil; boil for 10 boils. Discard the residue; then add 1 liang and a half of yellow丹; refine over low heat. Test the consistency with a cold iron rod—it should be neither too hard nor too soft. Pour into a porcelain container and spread immediately.
