Drug Formulation
1 sheng of black sesame oil (raw and clear), 2 liang of yellow丹 (sifted), 1 liang of frankincense (nipple-shaped), half a liang of pine resin, half a liang of beeswax.

Instructions for Use
First, decoct the oil on its own until the volume has reduced by one-third; set aside to cool. Next, add the yellow丹 and return to low heat; decoct until the volume has reduced by another one-third, then set aside to cool again. Then add the powdered Xunluxiang; if not added while the mixture is still hot, it may boil over. Continue decocting until the fragrance has completely dissipated. Finally, add the pine resin and wax; once the ointment begins to thicken, test its consistency by dipping a metal object into it. Stop when the consistency is just right—neither too hard nor too soft.
