Drug Formulation

Beijing-grown Curcuma zedoaria (wrapped in damp paper and roasted until fragrant, then chopped), 0.5 liang; Areca nut, 2.5 liang; Wood Fragrance, 2.5 liang; Cardamom (wrapped in flour and roasted until fragrant), 2.5 liang;2 liang and a half of Chebulic Myrobalan (roasted, pitted), 2 liang and a half of Angelica sinensis (washed in hot water), half a liang of Coptis chinensis (stems removed, lightly roasted), and half a liang of Sichuan Melia fruit pulp (roasted).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from pig bile and water to form pills the size of millet grains.
