Drug Formulation

1 liang of Gan Sui (plump, round, and beaded; thinly sliced and placed in a loosely woven cloth bag), 1 fen of Chuanxiong.

Processing

Place the ingredients in a paper basket and cover it tightly with a large incense burner, leaving a small opening at the top. Suspend the Gan Sui pouch in the opening, and burn one piece of Chuanxiong below to allow the smoke to熏 the Gan Sui. When the smoke is about to subside, light another piece; once the smoke has completely dissipated, remove the Gan Sui and grind it into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

For those over 30 years of age with strong vital energy, use 3 qian; for those with deficiency, use 3.5 qian. Take one pair of Keshan goat kidneys, split them open, and evenly distribute the medicine inside. Wrap the feet tightly with clean hemp cloth, then roast them over charcoal until cooked through, taking care not to let them burn. Before bedtime, chew the mixture thoroughly and swallow it with warm wine. Drink wine as desired; those who can drink one dou may drink five sheng. Elevate both feet on a raised surface. A single dose will cure the condition.
