Drug Formulation

1 liang of ginseng, 1 liang of frankincense, 1 liang of myrrh, 1 liang of cuttlefish bone, 1 liang of camphor,1 qian of Amber, 1 liang of Child’s Tea (ground), 1 liang of Notoginseng (roasted, ground), 1 liang of Wood Ear Fungus (burned until charred), 2 liang of Gutang Lime, 2 liang of Purple Quartz (calcined and quenched in vinegar 7 times, then ground into powder), 5 qian of Raw Licorice (finely ground),3 qian of musk (ground), 3 qian of borneol, 1 qian of native copper, 3 qian of elephant skin, 2 wild dogs (roasted, ground), 1 qian of wild soft-shelled turtle (dried, roasted, ground), 3 qian of flower-stamen stone, and 2 liang of dragon’s blood.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, store in a small-mouthed porcelain jar, seal with wax, and set aside for future use.

When using, sprinkle approximately 3 qian of the mixture onto a medicated plaster and apply it to the injured area.
