Drug Formulation
1 liang of Croton Seed (meat), 1 qian 5 fen of Hu Huanglian, 1 qian 5 fen of Chuan Huanglian, 1 qian 5 fen of Hei Chou, 1 qian 5 fen of Bai Chou, 1 qian 5 fen of Shashen, 1 qian 5 fen of Yuanshen, 1 qian 5 fen of Chaihu, 1 qian 5 fen of Lianqiao, 1 qian 5 fen of Xiangfu, 1 qian 5 fen of Sanling,Curcuma zedoaria 1 qian 5 fen, Wood Fragrance 1 qian 5 fen, Lycium bark 1 qian 5 fen, Trichosanthes root 1 qian, White mustard seed 1 qian, Shenqu 6 fen, Hawthorn 6 fen, Barley malt 6 fen, Sesame oil 2 jin 4 liang.

Processing
First, simmer 5 liang each of pig, sheep, cow, horse, and donkey hooves until thoroughly tender. Then add the above herbs and simmer until charred; strain out the residue. Add 1 jin 3 liang of Huangdan and reduce to a paste.

Apply the paste to the affected area.
Note
Avoid applying behind the ears or between the eyebrows.
