Drug Formulation

4 fen of ox bile, 1 qian of Cimicifuga, 1 qian of raw cow’s milk, 1 qian 5 fen of wood fragrant, 1 qian 5 fen of cinnabar, 1 qian 5 fen of realgar,Chuan Shan Jia 1 qian 5 fen, Bai Xian Pi 1 qian 5 fen, Frankincense 1 qian 5 fen (roasted), Processed Rheum 2 qian (soaked in wine 9 times, steamed 9 times, and sun-dried 9 times), Wilfordia 1 qian 8 fen, Myrrh 1 qian 8 fen, Dragon’s Blood 1 qian 8 fen, Fritillaria 1 qian 8 fen.

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into a fine powder. Mix 5 qian of Shenqu powder with water to form a thick paste, add the herbal powders, and pound until uniform. Form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed. Separately, grind cinnabar into a fine powder to use as a coating.

Instructions for Use

Take 15 pills every morning on an empty stomach and 10 pills every evening on an empty stomach, washed down with ginseng decoction. Qi Liang Decoction may also be used. Reduce the dosage as the condition improves; if residual toxins remain, do not discontinue the medication entirely.

Note

Avoid all forms of anger and agitation. Tea and alcohol may be consumed in amounts not exceeding three-tenths of the usual amount.
