Drug Formulation

Natural copper (burned red-hot in ash, dipped once in good vinegar, then burned again; repeat this process seven times), deer antler (burn charcoal on clean ground until red-hot; remove the charcoal; spray rice vinegar onto the scorched ground; immediately place the deer antler on top; cover with a porcelain lid to set it for later use), Atractylodes lancea—1 liang each (peeled and sun-dried), Sichuan Aconite (roasted over low heat until striations appear);Tiannanxing (prepared in the same manner as Sichuan Aconite), Tiger Bone (boiled in high-quality vinegar in a sand pot; bring to a boil 6–7 times; remove, air-dry, roast over fire 7 times, and dip in high-quality rice vinegar 7 times)—each half liang qian; Walnuts 1 liang (remove shell and husk; use the kernel.sliced thinly and sun-dried), 1 liang of licorice (peeled, using the inner core), 1 liang of melon seeds (roasted until yellow), 1 liang of myrrh,frankincense 1 liang, dragon bone 1 liang, Sichuan pepper 1 liang, fenugreek 1 liang, Polygonum multiflorum 1 liang, cyperus rhizome 1 liang, white angelica root 1 liang, wulingzhi 1 liang, duckweed 1 liang, dragon’s blood 1 liang, realgar 1 liang, anise 1 liang, dried Chinese toon fruit 1 liang.

Prepare the ingredients according to standard methods: sun-dry them, grind into a fine powder, and form into pills the size of a tung tree seed using high-quality vinegar paste.

Instructions for Use

Place the pills in a gourd to dry; no sun-drying is necessary. When ready to make the pills, place them in a porcelain container, add a small amount of oil, and use a separate container to cover and seal it tightly. Shake the container back and forth to coat the pills with the oil. Then, place the pills in the gourd to air-dry in the shade. Use as needed according to the condition. Take 7 pills per dose, washed down with warm, ash-free wine; salted water is also acceptable.Take after meals when the upper part of the body is affected, and before meals when the lower part is affected; take twice daily.
