Autumn is the season of harvest. The joyful mood of celebrating a good harvest and the cool, pleasant climate are highly beneficial for people’s physical and mental well-being. If one can choose tea preparations such as green tea, black tea, or kombucha according to their own constitution and preferences, it can help maintain health, cultivate temperament, bring pleasure, and promote longevity.
1. Shengjin Herbal Tea Substitute
Efficacy: Promotes fluid production and nourishes yin, clears heat and moistens dryness. It supports autumn dryness syndrome characterized by dry mouth and throat, thirst, and dry cough. It is also used for warm wellness with intense heat that scorch the yin fluids of the Lung and stomach, causing dryness in the mouth, coughing with white frothy sputum that is sticky and difficult to expectorate.
Prescription: Canarium album (Lour.) Raeusch. 5 pieces (crushed), Dendrobium nobile Lindl. 6 g, Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat. 6 g, Eleocharis dulcis (Burm.f.) Trin. ex Hensch. 5 pieces (peeled), Ophiopogon japonicus (Thunb.) Ker Gawl. 9 g, fresh Phragmites communis Trin. 2 stalks (chopped), Morus alba L. 9 g, Bambusa tuldoides Munro 6 g, 10 slices of fresh Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn. rootstock, Pyrus pyrifolia (Burm.f.) Nakai 2 pieces (peeled).
Usage: Decoct in water and take as tea.

2. Snow Pear Tea
Efficacy: Moistens dryness and promotes fluid production, suitable for dry mouth, parched throat, dry nose, and scanty body fluids caused by dry autumn weather.
Prescription: 1 snow pear (sliced thinly), 5 grams of green tea.
Usage: Decoct in water and take as tea, or eat pear slices.

3. Sangxing Tea
Efficacy: Lightly disperses dry-heat, moistens the Lungs and stops cough. supports autumn dryness syndrome characterized by dry cough without sputum, headache, and fever caused by dry weather in autumn.
Prescription: Folium Mori (Mulberry Leaf), Semen Armeniacae Amarum (Apricot Kernel), Radix Adenophorae (Coastal Glehnia Root), Bulbus Fritillariae Thunbergii (Thunberg Fritillary Bulb), Semen Sojae Preparatum (Fermented Soybean) 9 grams each, Fructus Gardeniae (Gardenia Fruit) 6 grams, Pericarpium Pyri (Pear Peel) 30 grams.
Usage: Decoct in water and use as a tea substitute.
