Drug Formulation

Half a liang of Coptis (stems removed), 1 fen of Ma Ya Xiao, and half a spoonful of honey.

Processing

Take two large pears, hollow them out, and keep the stems as lids. Wrap the powdered ingredients in cotton, place them inside the pears, and cover with the lids. In winter, leave for one “fu” period; in summer, leave from dawn to dusk. Keep free from dust and impurities, then extract the juice.
