Drug Formulation

Ox bile 4 fen, pearl 4 fen, centipede (head and legs removed, roasted until dry) 4 fen,Rhinoceros Horn 1 qian, Raw Buffalo Milk 1 qian, Soapwort 1 qian, Moon Red 1 qian 7 fen, White Fresh Bark 1 qian 7 qian, Cinnabar 1 qian 7 fen, Realgar 1 qian 5 fen, Frankincense 1 qian 5 fen, Sichuan Pangolin Scale 1 qian 5 fen, Amber 5 fen, Fritillary Bulb 1 qian, Dragon’s Blood 1 qian, Curcuma 1 qian, Processed Rhubarb 2 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with 5 qian of Shenqu powder to form a thick paste, then blend thoroughly to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed. Separately, grind cinnabar into a fine powder to use as a coating.

Instructions for Use

Take 15 pills every morning on an empty stomach and 10 pills every evening on an empty stomach, washed down with ginseng decoction; longan decoction may also be used. As the illness subsides, gradually reduce the dosage. If residual toxins remain, do not discontinue the medication.

Note

Avoid strenuous labor and intense anger for 100 days; follow the natural rhythms of the seasons in your convalescence.
