Chinese Name : 发补丹
Drug Formulation
Placenta (washed in wine, cleaned, and roasted) 2 qian,Frankincense (oil removed) 9 fen, Pangolin Scale (stir-fried with earth) 1 qian, Ginseng 3 qian, Raw Aconite (skin and tip removed) 3 qian, Oyster Shell (roasted) 1 qian (i.e., dried frog or field frog), Fainting Chicken (calcined to ash) 5 fen, Yuanmi (stir-fried with ginseng and aconite until golden) 1 qian.

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and mix with steamed buns to form pills.

Instructions for Use
Decoct hawthorn and bamboo shoot tips in water; based on the child’s size, the number of smallpox lesions, and the consistency of the exudate (whether clear or thick), mix 5–7 fen of the decoction with water and administer orally.
