Processing

Coarsely crush the ingredients. First, soak them in 1 jin of oil for 2–3 days; then simmer the mixture until it turns charred black, and strain out the residue;then melt sulfur in the oil pot again; pour off the clear oil from the top, and pour the sulfur from the bottom of the pot into a basin of water to wash away dirt, sand, and gravel; melt the original oil with the sulfur once more, repeating this process three times; pour off the top oil again, retaining the yellow residue, and weigh it separately; for every 1 liang of sulfur, melt it with a copper spoon, add 3 fen of the previously prepared musk powder, and stir evenly;First, take a small wine cup, seal the opening tightly with paper, and cut a small hole in the center. Pour the melted sulfur mixture into the cup and swirl it around to coat the inside, creating one cup.
