Drug Formulation

Cannabis (roasted) 5 qian, Whole Scorpion (detoxified) 5 qian, Fangfeng (root without pith) 5 qian, Qianghuo 5 qian, Tiannanxing (large) 5 qian, White Aconite Root (roasted) 5 qian, Poria Sclerotium 5 qian, White Silkworm (roasted) 5 qian, Chuanxiong 5 qian, Polygala Root (flesh) 5 qian, Platycodon Root (without pith) 5 qian,Acorus tatarinowii 5 qian, Pinellia ternata (raw) 5 qian, Ginseng (root tip removed) 5 qian, Atractylodes macrocephala 5 qian, Poria cocos (peeled) 5 qian, Black Snake Tail (soaked in wine, roasted) 5 qian, Ziziphus jujuba seeds (roasted) 5 fen, Schizonepeta spica 5 fen, Asarum sieboldii 5 fen, Aconitum carmichaeli (roasted until charred), Glycyrrhiza uralensis 3 qian,1 large red-footed centipede (soaked in mint juice, then baked). Except for the whole scorpion, snake tail, and centipede—which are prepared separately—all other ingredients should be ground into a fine powder. Add the three whole scorpion ingredients and 3 qian of agarwood, grind them finely according to the method, then incorporate them into the mixture. Cinnabar 3 qian,3 qian of borneol, 3 qian of pearl, 30 pieces of gold leaf, 40 pieces of silver leaf, 3 qian of genuine amber, 1 qian of musk, and 1 qian of realgar.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; form into pills using a paste of ginger juice and flour; coat with cinnabar.

Instructions for Use

To ensure long-term storage, keep in a warm, dry place and regularly sun-dry and roast the mixture to prevent loss of medicinal properties.
