Drug Formulation
1 liang of Coptis (remove the rhizome, grind into a fine powder), 1 liang of calamine (calcined, quenched with children’s urine several dozen times until it reaches the consistency of butter, then ground into a fine powder),Realgar 1 qian (ground to a powder), white cloves 1 qian (ground to a powder), cuttlefish bone 1 qian (ground), Angelica sinensis 1 qian (ground into a powder), musk 1 qian (ground), frankincense (ground) 1 qian, mercury oxide 1 he, and yellow lead oxide 2 qian (roasted in a porcelain vessel until yellow).

Processing
First, take 4 liang of honey and boil it for 3–4 boils. Add zinc oxide and continue boiling, stirring constantly until well blended. Allow to cool, then add yellow lead oxide and boil again. Add Coptis, white cloves, and realgar, and stir until well blended. Add Angelica sinensis and cuttlefish bone, and boil for another 3–5 boils. Add mercury oxide, musk, and frankincense, and stir until well blended. Store in bamboo shoot skin.

Instructions for Use
For each use, take one piece the size of a soapberry seed, dissolve it in hot water, and use the solution for a warm wash; in another formula, use 1 liang of pi xiao, place it in a child’s urine, and then add red-hot calamine, allowing it to soak in the pi xiao and urine mixture; in yet another formula, combine calamine with 1 liang of copper green, 1 liang and 3 qian of earth powder, 3 qian each of dried white alum and frankincense, and 2 qian of borax. Grind all ingredients into a fine powder and mix with refined honey to form a paste.For each use, dissolve a piece the size of a soapberry in water and wash frequently.
