Miraculous Paulownia Leaf Decoction

15 jin of Paulownia leaves (harvested around the Autumnal Equinox).

Processing
Add 1 shi of water to a clean cauldron and decoct the Chinese hackberry leaves until 3 dou of liquid remains; then transfer to a new pot and decoct further until reduced to 1 sheng. The decoction is now ready; store it in a non-porous container.

Instructions for Use
For patients, take half a he of sesame oil, 1 fen of beeswax, and a piece of clarified butter the size of a chestnut; melt them together until smooth like face cream. Then take 7 almonds, crush them raw into a paste, and mix with 2 qian of rice flour into the face cream until uniform.First apply this mixture to the ulcer. After two days, wipe it clean. Using a comb, evenly spread the decoction of Paulownia leaves over the ulcer, then wrap it with soft cloth. Repeat this process once every two days, wiping off the old medication and applying a fresh layer; no more than five or six applications are needed. If the ulcer has already formed a head, new tissue will grow and the wound will heal; if it has not yet formed a head, the abscess will dissolve internally.
