Instructions for Use
First, protect the anus with curcuma powder; if curcuma is unavailable, substitute with turmeric powder. Mix and apply it to the surrounding healthy tissue. If this does not work, add mung bean flour to form a paste, then apply the hemorrhoid-drying medication on top. If there is severe anal pain, prepare a concentrated decoction of licorice root, let it cool to a warm temperature, and gently wipe the area around the anus with it. Immediately administer a laxative formula consisting of: Sophora flower, rhubarb, triturated citrus peel, akebia stem, forsythia,Ephedra, and Angelica sinensis—decocted in equal parts wine and water. Apply the dried herbal paste once in the morning and once at noon, washing off the old application each time; at the hour of Shen, wash it off again and apply a fresh layer. If immediate relief is needed, wash and reapply once more at midnight (the hour of Zi).By the next day, the hemorrhoid will appear faintly black; after 2–3 days, it will resemble a black plum. Within 4–5 days, gently tap the hemorrhoid with a bamboo comb; when it feels as hard as stone, the condition will subside by the 7th or 8th day, and no further application of the dried herbal mixture will be necessary. Wait until it naturally falls off like a radish root. For washing, use licorice, Schizonepeta, and Sophora flower; after washing off the old medication, apply the new mixture.
