3 liang of Changshan (fried with wine), 2 qian of black plum pulp, 3 qian of large chunks of cinnabar, 3 qian of transparent realgar, and 5 qian of night-bright sand.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a thin paste of Shenqu to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian in the morning and 2 qian in the evening, washed down with boiled water. Stop taking the medicine once symptoms subside; it is not necessary to complete the full course. A cure is guaranteed within 7 days. For children, add 1 liang of chicken gizzard and yellow peel; take 1 qian per dose. For pregnant women, reduce the Changshan dose by half. For the weak and the elderly, decoct 3–5 qian of fresh Shouwu in water and take 1.5 qian each morning and evening; for healthy adults and young people, take 3 qian each morning and evening.
