Formulas Name : Pearl and Amber Relief Powder
Chinese Name : 珠珀救苦散
Drug Formulation
1 qian of Shishou fish occipital bone (unsalted; take two white stones from the brain of a fresh yellow croaker, boil them in water for one incense stick’s duration, then grind into an extremely fine powder), 5 fen of Beijing-peeled ox bile, 5 fen of large pearl (place the pearl inside tofu, suspend the tofu in a clean sand pot, boil in water for one incense stick’s duration, then grind into an extremely fine powder), 5 fen of child’s tea, 3 fen of Phellodendron bark powder,3 fen of large plum-blossom-shaped borneol, 5 fen of genuine indigo powder, 5 fen of elephant skin (calcined to preserve its properties), 3 fen of high-quality borax, and 5 fen of powdered amber.

Instructions for Use
First, rinse the sores thoroughly with millet cooking water, then apply the medicated poultice. Internally, administer a formula to clear fire and dispel toxins to neutralize the poison; alternatively, administer the “Xie Huang Na Gu San” or the “Sai Jin Hua Du San.”
