Drug Formulation
1 jin of aged, refined pine resin, half a jin of beeswax and honey, 4 jin of lard, 2 liang of Angelica sinensis, 1 liang of Coptis, and 1 liang of Phellodendron.

Instructions for Use
Combine the six ingredients above; coarsely crush three of them. Mix everything together and simmer until the mixture boils three times and reduces by one-third. Wait until the paste turns a faint purplish color—this indicates the medicine is ready—then strain out the residue. For newly developed swellings without pus, apply the paste to a piece of paper and affix it to the affected area, changing it three times a day and twice at night. If the swelling has already ruptured and formed an opening, pierce a hole in a piece of paper to align with the ulcer’s opening, then apply the paper to the area around the wound to help collect the pus.
