Drug Formulation

Magnetite 1 liang (calcined and quenched in vinegar 7 times, finely ground, and washed with water); Aconite 1 liang (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed); Morinda root 1 liang; Sichuan pepper 1 liang (remove seeds and closed pods; lightly roast to remove moisture).

Instructions for Use

For each dose, take one pig’s kidney (remove the fascia and sinews, finely chop), 1 fen each of scallion white and Chinese leek white (finely chopped), mix with 1 qian of the powder, and 1 zi of salt crystals; stir until well blended. Wrap in 10 layers of damp paper and roast over a fire of pond ash until cooked through. Chew thoroughly on an empty stomach, then wash down with thin porridge mixed with wine. Effective in 10 days.
