Drug Formulation

Asparagus root 8 liang, Ophiopogon tuber 4 liang, Apricot kernel 4 liang, Pinellia tuber (processed) 4 liang, Fritillaria bulb 4 liang, Platycodon root, Licorice root, Chebulic myrobalan, and Northern glehnia root—each in equal parts; Mulberry bark and Burdock seed.

Instructions for Use

Decoct the ingredients twice with water, strain out the residue, and continue boiling until the liquid is reduced to slightly more than a bowl’s worth. Add 4 liang of kudzu starch and 1 jin of white honey, stir well, and simmer in a double boiler for one day until it becomes a paste. Take 2–3 spoonfuls frequently.
