Chinese Name : 雄黄丸

Drug Formulation

5 qian of realgar, 3 qian of white gypsum, 1 liang of pinellia, 3 qian of white alum, and 1 qian of croton seed (with the inner membrane and oil removed).

Processing

First, mix the white alum and white calcite powder evenly, roast until dry, then grind and roast again. Add this mixture to the other powdered ingredients and blend thoroughly. Form into pills the size of millet grains using a paste, and coat with cinnabar.

Instructions for Use

Take 5–7 pills per dose, swallowed with mulberry bark decoction before bedtime; clear tea may also be used.
