Drug Formulation

Gambir (soaked in dew from autumn lotus leaves, double-boiled over a water bath more than 10 times; remove the floating and sinking parts, retain the middle layer, mix with goat’s blood, and sun-dry) 4 liang,Tian Zhu Huang (if genuine is unavailable, substitute with Nine-Transformation Southern Star) 3 liang, Red-Sprout Euphorbia 3 liang, Liu Jinu 3 liang, Dragon’s Blood 3 liang, Child’s Tea 3 liang, Realgar 3 liang, Puxiao 1 liang, Angelica Root Tails 1 liang 5 qian, Lead Powder 3 qian, Mercury 3 qian, Frankincense 3 qian, Musk 3 qian, Amber 2 qian.

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into a very fine powder, weigh them accurately, and mix them together. Place mercury and lead powder in an iron pot, heat them over a fire, and grind them into a fine powder; add this to the mixture of herbs and grind them together until uniform. Take 24 liang of purified beeswax, place it in a porcelain container, and melt it in a water bath; add the mixture and stir until well blended.

Instructions for Use

For severe cases, take 1 qian per pill; for mild cases, take 5 fen per pill. Take with warm yellow wine. If the injury is extremely severe, take several doses in succession; drinking wine and inducing sweating after taking the medicine yields even better results. To treat all types of malignant sores, dissolve the mixture in sesame oil and apply it topically.
