Drug Formulation

3 liang of Prepared Rehmannia, 1 liang of Sichuan Lovage, 1 liang of White Peony, 1 liang of Scutellaria baicalensis, 1 liang of Ligusticum, 1 liang of Corydalis, 1 liang of Poria, 1 liang of Cinnabar, 1 liang of Myrrh, 1 liang of Moutan Bark, 1 liang of White Weiye, 1 liang of Ginseng, 1 liang of Cyperus, 1 liang 5 qian of Cinnamon Bark, and 1 liang 5 qian of Licorice.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. For every 1 jin of the mixture, use 4 liang of motherwort paste. Combine with honey to form pills the size of a marble, weighing approximately 2 qian 5–6 fen each. Coat with cinnabar and store in porcelain containers after exposing them to sunlight for about half an hour.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill in the early morning. To regulate menstruation, take it with plain hot water; to stabilize the pregnancy, take it with Amomum decoction; for postpartum blood stasis, take it with Schizonepeta spikelet decoction.
