Drug Formulation

1 fen Coptis, 3 fen Raw Rehmannia, 5 fen Roasted Shenqu, 5 fen Tangerine Peel, 5 fen Cinnamon Twig, 6 fen Cardamom Seed, 1 qian Astragalus, 1 qian Ginseng, 1 qian Ephedra (with nodes intact), 1 qian 5 fen Angelica Root, 5 Apricot Kernels (ground separately into a paste).

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients and divide into two doses. Use 2.5 large bowls of water to decoct Ephedra until it boils; skim off the foam, then reduce to 2 bowls. Add all the other herbs and continue decocting until the volume is reduced to 1 large bowl. Take the entire dose between the hours of Yu and Wu, after food has been fully digested. One dose will stop the bleeding immediately.
