Drug Formulation
1 sheep’s spine (remove the meat; mix half liang of arsenic trioxide powder with 1 bowl of strong vinegar until the arsenic is fully dissolved; apply the mixture to the spine and roast over low heat until the vinegar has evaporated and the bone is brittle; then bake and grind into a fine powder), 1 liang of Achyranthes root (soaked in wine, sliced, and baked),Beijing-grown Acorus rhizome (roasted, coarsely chopped) 1 liang and a half, Aconite root (roasted until cracked, peel and pith removed) 1 liang, Fennel seeds (roasted) 1 liang, Paper mulberry seeds 1 liang, Cinnamon bark (coarse outer bark removed) 1 liang and a half, Dendrobium stem (coarsely chopped) 1 liang and a half.

Processing
Of the above 8 ingredients, grind all except the sheep bone and realgar into a fine powder. Mix thoroughly with the previous powder, then form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed using a paste made from flour boiled in wine.
Instructions for Use
Take 20–30 pills per dose, on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine.
