Formulas Name : Bi Yun Ointment

Chinese Name : 碧云膏

Drug Formulation

5 liang of pig lard from the 12th lunar month (roasted and strained to remove impurities), 1 liang of verdigris (finely ground), and half a liang of talcum powder.

From *Shenghui*, Volume 32.

Processing

Place the ingredients in an oil-glazed porcelain jar; stir thoroughly with a whisk until uniform, then allow to cool and solidify into an ointment.

Benefits

Red, ulcerated eyes.

Instructions for Use

Before each application, wash the eyes with warm salt water, then apply an amount the size of a soybean to the red, ulcerated area, three times daily.
