Drug Formulation
Black Plum (soaked in hot water, pitted, steamed with rice until the rice is cooked, then removed and sun-dried) 1 liang; Sichuan Lacquer Tree (remove the roots just before use; mix evenly with licorice powder; moisten with water and steam; once cooled, remove the licorice and take the lacquer tree; chop into small pieces; mix again with licorice water; steam for half an incense stick’s duration; sun-dry) 1 liang;Softshell Turtle Carapace (select 5 pieces with nine ribs; wash off the skin and flesh; place in strong vinegar, simmer until dry, remove, roast until dry, and grind into powder) 2 liang, White Vitex (soak in glutinous rice washwater overnight; remove and sun-dry; finely chop on a locust wood cutting board; steam from the hour of Shen to the hour of Si; sun-dry) 1 liang,Female Weakness Herb (scrape off the bark, nodes, and filaments with a bamboo knife; soak in honey water overnight; remove, steam for one incense stick’s duration, then bake until dry) 1 liang 1 qian, Anemarrhena Rhizome (chop coarsely, then pound in a dry wooden mortar)1 liang 2 qian, Kusan (soak in concentrated glutinous rice washing water overnight; the foul odor will naturally float to the surface; rinse thoroughly several times; then steam from the hour of Si to the hour of Shen, dry in the sun, and chop finely) 1 liang, Changshan (harvest the shoots just before use; steam them together with powdered licorice moistened with water; once cooled, remove the licorice and keep the Changshan.Chop finely, then mix with wine and steam again; sun-dry) 1 liang, Gypsum (select pieces as white as a bundle of needles; place in a sand pot, bury in willow wood fire, and roast until reddish; grind to a very fine powder; wash with licorice water, clarify and remove the water, then sun-dry) 2 liang,Licorice (remove the ends; place in a porcelain vessel, soak in fine wine, steam from the hour of Sì to the hour of Shēn, then remove and sun-dry) 5 qian, Asarum (select straight, extremely pungent specimens from the North; soak in melon water overnight, then sun-dry) 8 qian, Fragrant fermented soybeans (prepared according to the prescribed method) 1 he.
