Processing
After the fruit has been exposed to frost, pick it using bamboo tongs; place it in a large wooden mortar and pound with a pestle to remove the spines without damaging the fruit; split it into two halves, remove the seeds, rinse thoroughly with water, pound until pulpy, place in a large pot, and decoct in water over continuous heat until the liquid is reduced by about half; remove, clarify, and filter; then decoct again until it resembles thin syrup.

For spleen-related diarrhea and dysentery; neurasthenia caused by deficiency of both the liver and kidneys; urinary incontinence; and nocturnal emissions and seminal leakage.
Instructions for Use
Take 1 spoonful per dose, mixed with 1 cup of warm wine.
