Drug Formulation

1 set of Zi He Che (select only those that are robust, thick, large, and fresh; remove only the stagnant blood inside the amniotic sac—there is no need to pick out the fresh red blood vessels; wash thoroughly with rice-washing water, wring dry with a cloth, and pound into a paste in a stone mortar using a pestle; mix with 4–5 liang of powdered Chinese yam to form a dry mass,shape into 8–9 thin cakes, and bake in a sand pot until dry; the ideal result is when they smell like dried meat), 8 liang of prepared Rehmannia root (washed with wine, then dried),Goji berries (dried) 5 liang, Poria cocos (mixed with human milk, sun-dried three times), Angelica sinensis root (washed with wine) 4 liang, Ginseng 4 liang, Cuscuta seed (processed) 4 liang, Donkey-hide gelatin (roasted into beads) 4 liang,Moutan Bark (washed with wine) 2 liang, White Wei (washed with wine) 2 liang, Agarwood 1 liang, Cinnamon Bark 3 liang, Cornelian Cherry 3 liang, Cyperus Rhizome (soaked in half a bowl each of wine, vinegar, and water for 3 days, then sun-dried and lightly roasted) 3 liang, Large Chuanxiong (soaked in wine, sliced, and sun-dried) 2 liang.

Form into pills with refined honey, each the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take a little over 100 pills per dose, on an empty stomach, with either wine, plain water, or salted water.

Note

After taking the medicine, avoid raw radishes, raw lotus roots, scallions, garlic, mung bean flour, and similar foods.
