Drug Formulation

1 liang of Lycium bark, 1 liang of Astragalus, 1 liang of Peony root, 1 liang of Scutellaria root, 1 liang of Atractylodes, 1 liang of Poria, 1 liang of Ginseng, 1 liang of Cinnamon bark (mild-tasting variety), 1 liang of Licorice, 1 liang of Stephania root, 1 liang of Angelica root, and 2 liang of Saposhnikovia root.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. First, decoct 1 jin of Atractylodes lancea in 5 sheng of water until reduced to 3 sheng; remove the Atractylodes residue, add the 12 aforementioned herbs, and decoct again until reduced to 3–4 zhan. Strain to obtain the clear liquid, divide into 3–4 doses, and take them throughout the day. Additionally, decoct the Atractylodes residue to make a decoction; remove the residue, then decoct the 12 herbs with the remaining residue as before and take the resulting decoction.If symptoms persist, prepare another half-dose and take it. If constipation and restlessness with fever occur, take a small dose of Coptis Decoction; if mild diarrhea occurs and the restlessness with fever has subsided, taking half a dose will be effective.
