Formulas Name : Purple Ulcer Ointment
Chinese Name : 紫色溃疡膏
Drug Formulation
3 qian of mercuric oxide, 3 qian of red mercury, 3 qian of amber, 3 qian of dragon’s blood, 1 liang 5 qian of frankincense, 3 qian of indigo powder, 1 liang of Coptis, 3 liang of beeswax, 1 jin of sesame oil, and 1 fen of calcined pearl powder.

Processing
Grind the first eight ingredients into a very fine powder and set aside. Heat the sesame oil over a flame until it begins to bubble slightly, then add the beeswax and stir until well blended. Remove from heat and allow to cool, then add the powdered mixture and stir until a smooth ointment forms.

Instructions for Use
Apply directly to the affected area.
Note
Contraindicated for individuals allergic to mercury.
