Drug Formulation

1 black snake gallbladder, 1 winter melon (cut into 5-cun pieces, seeds removed), 1 pear.

Processing

Dig a hole about 3 chi deep, sweep and wipe it clean, place the winter melon in a container inside the hole, then arrange the black snake gallbladder and pear on top, separating them with a barrier, and cover with soil. Check after 21 days; if the winter melon has not yet decomposed significantly, wait another 49 days. When the snake gallbladder and pear have completely dissolved into juice within the winter melon’s skin, extract the juice.

Instructions for Use

Take a warm dose of about one tea-foot per serving. For minor wind-related ailments, moisten the tip of a spoon with this mixture, stir it into wine, and drink; 2–3 doses will cure the condition.
