Drug Formulation

Bupleurum (stems removed) 1 liang, Scutellaria (black core removed) 1 liang, Trichosanthes root 1 liang, Phellodendron bark 1 liang, Aquilaria 1 liang 1 fen, Artemisia capillaris 1 liang 1 fen, Gardenia seeds 3 fen, Rheum (finely chopped, stir-fried with vinegar) 1.5 liang.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian bi per dose; add 1 zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 6 fen, strain out the residue, add half a qian bi of powdered pu xiao, and take warm on an empty stomach. Take another dose after walking 5 li; if bowel movement has not occurred, administer congee with scallions and fermented soybeans.
