Drug Formulation

1 liang 6 qian 5 fen of Western Calamus, 1 liang 6 qian 5 fen of Pearl Powder, 1 liang 8 qian 5 fen of Dangmenzi, 2 liang 4 qian 1 fen of Plum Borneol, 4 liang 5 qian of Silver Nitrate, 10 liang 7 qian of Fly-Waist Yellow, 4 liang 6 qian 3 fen of Fly-Moon Stone, and 5 liang 6 qian of Calamine.

Processing

First, take 4 Mylabris beetles, remove their heads and legs, and soak them in 14 liang of children’s urine for 3 days. Remove the beetles, then soak the Fly-Waist Yellow for 7 days before air-drying. Grind the Fly-Waist Yellow first, then mix it with the炉甘石, gradually adding the remaining ingredients until the mixture is extremely uniform and finely ground.

Instructions for Use

For bites from rabid dogs or venomous snakes, apply a small amount to the inner corners of both eyes and the tip of the tongue; this should be done daily for 7 consecutive days. Additionally, apply the mixture to the wound site and take half a fen orally; for severe cases, continue oral administration for several consecutive days. For typhoid fever, stroke, coma, convulsions, and acute phlegm-induced syncope, apply a small amount to the tongue and take half a fen orally. For critical shā syndrome, apply to the tongue and blow a small amount into the nostrils.

Pregnant women should use with caution; do not swallow.
