Chinese Name : 大五积丸

Drug Formulation

1 liang of realgar, 1 liang of Datura flower, 1 liang of dried lacquer (stir-fried until smoking), half a liang of croton seed (remove skin and inner membrane, grind to extract oil), 3 fen of Soapberry, 3 fen of Aconite (roasted until cracked, remove skin and navel).Take the above 6 ingredients; pound and sift 4 of them into a fine powder, then mix in realgar and croton seed until well blended. Add 3 sheng of rice vinegar and simmer over low heat in a silver or stone vessel until it becomes a paste. Add 1 liang of rhubarb (steamed until tender, roasted, and coarsely chopped), 1 liang of softshell turtle shell (with frills removed, vinegar-roasted),Green tangerine peel (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, and baked) 1 fen, Beijing-grown Curcuma zedoaria (steamed and chopped) 1 fen, aged rice malt (roasted) 1 fen, Angelica sinensis (sliced and baked) 1 fen, Cinnamomum cassia (coarse bark removed) 3 fen, and Aquilaria agallocha 3 fen.

Processing

Take the 14 herbs listed above; grind 8 of them into a fine powder, mix with a decoction paste, and form into pills the size of mung beans.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 to 3 pills per dose, with tea or wine as a vehicle. To expel the accumulation, adjust the dosage according to the patient’s condition (deficiency or excess).
