Drug Formulation

1 sheng of raw Rehmannia glutinosa juice, 4 liang of raw Ophiopogon japonicus, 1 sheng of raw Asparagus cochinchinensis (sliced), 4 liang of Asarum sieboldii, 2 liang of Asarum heterotropoides, 2 liang of licorice, 2 liang of Ligusticum chuanxiong, 2 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala, 3 liang of Astragalus membranaceus, 3 liang of Cimicifuga heracleifolia, and 3 sheng of pork fat.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients; soak them in vinegar overnight. Wrap the herbs in cotton. Just before decoction, add the fresh Rehmannia root juice and simmer together with the pork fat until the mixture reduces to a paste and the water vapor has completely evaporated. Strain out the residue. Take small amounts and hold them in the mouth.
