Drug Formulation

5 qian of Red Peony Root, 60 castor beans, 60 pig’s hair seeds and croton seeds, 5 qian of Angelica sinensis, 7 willow branches (3 cun long), 4 liang of yellow丹, 8 liang of sesame oil (increase the oil in winter; use 6 liang in summer).

Instructions for Use

Simmer all ingredients in sesame oil over alternating high and low heat, raising and lowering the heat three times each. Strain out the residue, then add the yellow丹. Stir continuously with the willow branches until the mixture does not disperse when a drop is tested in water. Apply to the affected area.
