Drug Formulation

Half liang of Prepared Rehmannia Root, half liang of Sichuan Lovage, half liang of Fangfeng, half liang of Areca Nut, half liang of Wuyi (roasted), half liang of Cicada Shed Skin (washed), half liang of Cypress Seed Kernel (ground separately), half liang of Horse Tooth Stone (calcined), half liang of Ginseng, half liang of Astragalus, half liang of White Lonicera, half liang of Sichuan Pepper,1 liang of carp scales (calcined), 1 liang of late silkworm sand (roasted), 1 liang of Angelica sinensis, 1 liang of Wood Fragrance, 1 liang of Aconite (processed, with skin and pith removed), 1 liang of Gypsum (calcined),Eupatorium (1 liang), Cinnamomum (1.5 liang), Magnolia Bark (processed with ginger, stir-fried) (1.5 liang), Licorice (roasted) (1.5 liang), White Ginger (processed) (1.5 liang), Safflower (stir-fried) (1 fen), Evodia (washed) (1 fen).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey, and form into pills the size of a marble.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 pill per dose: for pain from blood masses, take with wine mixed with cotton ash; to induce labor, chew finely and take with warm wine; for blood exhaustion and blood deficiency, take with wine mixed with Platycodon root; for menorrhagia, take with wine mixed with palm ash; for blood-qi pain, take with wine mixed with stir-fried white ginger;for blood-wind, take with wine mixed with Schizonepeta; for blood-induced fainting and loss of consciousness, fetal death in utero, and retained placenta, use one bowl each of raw Rehmannia juice, children’s urine, and wine, decocted into two doses to be taken with the pill; for regular use, dissolve in a mixture of vinegar soup and warm wine, and take on an empty stomach before meals.
