Chinese Name : 御寒暖胃膏

Drug Formulation

Ginger juice, bovine gelatin, frankincense, myrrh, Sichuan pepper, and yellow lead oxide.

Processing

Simmer the ginger juice, add beef gelatin and dissolve it, then thicken the mixture with frankincense, myrrh, and realgar to form a paste.

Benefits

For stomach disorders characterized by loss of appetite, distension and pain in the chest and abdomen, vomiting, nausea, belching, and a sour sensation when swallowing; a sallow complexion and emaciation; lethargy and a tendency to lie down; and cold pain in the lower back and spine.
