Drug Formulation

1 liang of sea clam, 1 liang of pharbitis seed, 1 liang of red poria (black skin removed), 1 liang of stephania, 1 liang of rhinoceros horn (chipped), 1 liang of chebulic myrobalan (pitted), 1 liang of bitter shepherd’s purse (roasted on paper), 1 liang of ligusticum, 1 liang of akebia (chopped),Euphorbia (roasted) 1 liang, Fangfeng (with branches removed) 1 liang, Musk (Mu Xiang) 1 liang, Rhubarb (roasted) 2.5 liang, Raw Rehmannia (baked) 1.5 liang, White Mulberry Root Bark (roasted, chopped) 1 liang, Aged Tangerine Peel (soaked in hot water, white pith removed, baked) 1 liang, Prunus mume seeds (peeled, finely ground) 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 10 pills per dose on an empty stomach with rice water; if feeling bloated and uncomfortable, increase the dose to 15 pills; if feeling relieved, reduce the dose by 3–5 pills; if both urination and defecation are obstructed, take 30 pills per dose.
